Car Care and Detailing Dreams

Can anyone suggest me a few things
My Father,s 2005 CIVIC headlights need some restoration it is a lil bit brownish with a small cracks Suggest me some thing provided that i should not be too expensive still giving very gud result
My CUORE Metallic Green have a rough surface means its almost impossible to remove dust from it. the dust penetrates in paint some people on PW suggested me to use Turtle clay but it is around 4k and would be useless for me after using once. so need some thing better 4 me....

Before doing anything, first check if the contaminants are on the plastic or inside the light. I guess if its brown, it means dust has penetrated the light through some leak seal. You have to get it opened and cleaned then.

I had the white haze oxidation problem with my Baleno lights. There might be products for this purpose which experts can guide but I used simple white Colgate tooth paste........ Applied on light and rubbed with a microfiber cloth.......you need to be consistent and the process requires a lot of muscle power ...... but in the end.....Results are good. You cant repair the crack in the headlight.

Other option is to get them buffed.....They'll charge hardly Rs. 500.

Thanks bro surely toothpaste can do this as mentioned on many website but after that there need a plastic clear coat to protect the light from turning brown again

Aamir bhai, JazakAllah, but this isnt my bike, it belongs to Salman bhai....Im going for a cruiser, these superbikes give my back a real exercise and with 2 CF discs already in the back, Im not to keen on takin chances!

After a lot of motivation from this forum, I finally decided to do a detailing of My Toyota Corolla GLi. Spent about 4.5 hours from washing to waxing and sealing + Interior cleaning. In the end it was worth it and was tempted to take pictures to share with PW fellow members. So here goes..........
PS: Please point out any deficiencies so that I can get better

Ahmad bhai, as discussed on phone, here is the pic of my girl friend:

Now, you recommended for scratches on my passo:

1. Meguire Scratch X (Foam)
2. Meguire Nxt Wax (for light color) as my passo color is sky blue.

On corolla, (Gun Metallic) I assume that I can use scratch X on this color as well.

Now about NXT wax, you told me that light colors and dark colors waxes are different, but is it possible to use a single wax on both the cars (having light and dark color)?

sorry to hear and see these secratches on ur gli but tks Allha secratches not deep and meguair's secratch x can take care of them, apply with less presure but many many rubs until these become light, no need to eleminate these secratches fully, just make them light or invisible by naked eye and than apply wax on whole pannel.

try meguair's nxt paste wax (paste wax gives longer protection ) on both of ur ride and its also dont attract much dust.

if u love ur ride and having basic knowledge about detailing than its not rocket science, allways wash with car shampoo no surf or hair shampoo, allways use microfiber clothes for washing, drying, buffing out wax etc and after use allways wash ur microfibers with liquied detergents etc , never dry dusting, make habbit for weekly washing and protectant spary or wax aplication etc
by protectant spray i mean detailer sprays , if light dust on car than use detailer spray otherwise shampoo wash

gee raza bhai meguair's secratch x is abbresive product its lightly cut the clear coat means its also remove the royal shield on such area where u will apply this product , however just apply on effected area ( no need to apply on whole pannel ) and than cover with nxt wax, i hope u dont need to go rs

Ok...... but I was asking for daily dusting. I will wash it on weekly basis but how to clean on daily basis (Procedure) Now that you have prohibited from dry dusting
