You can't just wipe off the dust with a damp microfiber cloth. If you want your car to keep shining forever, then it's not the ideal solution and will definitely cause swirl marks on the paint surface of your car.
So here are two ways you can clean your car.
Give it a proper wash, use the 2 buckets method to avoid rubbing the dust on the surface.
- One bucket of water with shampoo mixed in.
- The second bucket will contain just water for your washing mitt to be rinsed in.
This will reduce the number of swirl marks to seen by naked eyes in the sun reflection.
Waterless Wash
Get a waterless wash product, I will recommend Carpro ECH2O. Dilute it in water, spray it thoroughly on the car paint and wipe off the product with a clean microfiber cloth. Repeat this process to your whole car.
Note: The waterless wash method is only suitable for light dust cleaning like everyday dust accumulation. Not suitable for a heavily dirty car.
