hello everyone, i recently purchased a used honda city 2015 model that had only 14000km mileage. In the beginning there used to be this "eco" light that would come on, but after a while this light wouldnt come on and the car started to use up alot of fuel. I mean the car uses half a tank in week for an 80km distance. Can anyone explain technically what might be wrong? before i had the honda city 2007 model and the fuel consumption was better.
Must be a fuel leak, get it checked from honda dealership!
i will this week IA, but shouldnt there also be fuel on the floor aswell?
How a 2015 model car can only have 14000 kms on it.looks like meter is reversed.secondly there can b couple of factors fr drop in fuel economy.spark plugs might b in bad condition or cat con might b chocked or it requires maintenance
no no the meter is not reversed its a relatives car and it was in our garage when they went abroad and we bought it from them. its fairly new, so bad spark plugs or catalytic convertor this early seems a bit odd. also would you happen to have any idea why the eco light suddenly wont work? I believe the tuning got effed up somehow since its a family car and multiple people drive it and the air/fuel ratio needs adjustment. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
What was fuel economy last time u calculated and have u changed its mobil oil
Just go to a nearby honda servive center change its mobil oil oil filter air fiter and ask the guys to scan the car fr any issue and better check its spark plugs tell them about its fuel economy
honestly its only been a month and a half, and i did not check it then, its in the past few weeks since this started. The oil change is due this week, i'll get the filters checked and the car scanned aswell. Thank you for the help!
Get your vehicle thoroughly checked from a good, reputed garage (not necessarily Honda dealership), for any / all issues.
go to pit shop and have completely check there might be only tune up required
