1.First of all,....never ever dry dust your car. There will be no lubricant to lubricate the surface causing dust particles to scratch the paint.

yes never clean with dry cloth, its like scratching your car with ultra fine sand paper.

Buy a good microfibre towel cost u max 300
Dip it in water, and clean ur car.
Easy to use and easy to clean ur car without scratches.

i have a question bothering me for quiet a while. Detailing, rubbing, buffing to this level....would it not damage the clear coat? means thinning of it and finally wear it out?

i ve been using 7CF hard wax and found it better and lasting than cosmic and others in the same price range but snr member at PWs refrained from using any thing less than Rs. 1000/- so now i m lookin' for Meg/Turtle

First of all thank you for making this post and all the members who contributed to it making it a treasure trove for someone diving into this topic for the first time.

Second i wanted to ask a question regarding my car.

I recently bought an old 14 model City and the seller told me he got the car glass coated towards the end of last year. How long does a glass coating last because from my limited research we shouldn't use claybars or polishing as that'll remove the glass coating and one would have to start from scratch again.

If the glass coating is still good to go steps would be to simply wash and apply wax... (Not so overwhelming compared to full process lol). So if you can suggest some waxes which i can apply after washing that'd be great.
