Car generator issue probably

Guyz, I hv got an XE 2000.. When the car is used with headlights on or with A/C on, the car performance degrades, engine starts vibrating as well. Can anyone suggest what are the symptoms of a weak generator and how to rectify. The battery is perfect!

its normal function - unless your car has an idle up system on the carburettor to compensate

slightly increase the idle manually

go to any battery wala who sale new batteries,ask him to check load on altarnator with all ac n head lights n sound system on!

it is absoloutely normal. when you turn off the lights the electricity is shared between headlights and the spark plugs. less power for spark plugs = reduced performance. not a biggy it goes away as soon as you press the throttle

i had an XE, well i still do but i changed the engine recently after tweaking everything of its original engine for 5 years. anyways,

what you need to do to get rid of vibrations is to get ignition system serviced.

check condition of stubs on inner side of distributor cap, they shouldnt be worn out or corroded. best is to replace the cap with a kaabli one that has good stubs.
make sure you are using the right spark plugs. replace if current ones have logged >15k kms.
clean out the air filter. make sure there are no vacuum leaks on the carb tself, usally some of the rubber pipes on carb develop minute cracks/leaks over time.

ps. yes its normal for a little rpm drop, but hell-like vibrations definitely shouldn't be there if thats what your ride is suffering from.

the factory ones are best. Do not think replacing them with super duper brand 46 tip spark plugs will give a performance boost or something
