Car isn’t Racing beyond 140km/h even at high RPM on Highway

Hi,
I have Honda city 2011 automatic. Facing a problem. When I push gas pedal on highway to achieve maximum of speed But I failed to acquire it even by raising RPM to 4000.. then rpm doesn’t go beyond this limit.
What could be the reasons behind it??
RPM not going beyond 4000
And speed not beyond 140km/h ??

you must check your wheels that are they free enough to move freely like water?

have you done any recent job on your mechanically or electrically or any oil brand change this time? did you change the brade pads?

When was the last time vehicle was tuned?
ie.
1. Fuel Filter
2. Catalytic Cleaning
3. Spark Plugs
4. Sensors Cleaning
5. Alignment / Inflation / Balancing
6. Throttle Service
7. Fuel Injector Service

1 , 2 and 3 are the most likely culprits so get them serviced asap. If you are using factory spark plugs beyond 80,000Km they are most likely shot or end of life, If using aftermarket plugs (counterfeit NGK,DENSO) you are lucky if you are getting 140kmph

Mechanically I washed it’s exhaust by a well known mechanic. Clogging was removed. Electrically I installed DRL lighting strips in headlights but then I disconnected due to my indicator lights burnt. Recently I changed engine oil with same API index but I used volco. Previously I was using Volvoline. But on Volvoline it also did the same

Just recently a week along with engine oil change. I changed oil filter. Spark plugs were OKAY said by Electrcian. Throttle was also cleaned with oil change.
Alignment was done a month ago

Spark plugs oem or aftermarket?

I would suggest you get it checked by Honda Dealership as well as mechanic ustads servicing is substandard and drop in performance is to be expected, Local market parts are replica or counterfeit to increase profit margins and end user will suffer from performance issues almost always.

Yes it utilises all gears. I can feel gear change during speed. But the race isn’t upto the mark. Another is my gas pedal is very down compared to brake pedal

this is something new, how it is done ?

It is done on while car is jacked up by fronth both sides and rotate it if u feel some jamming of tyres so plese show it to some suspension guy for it
