Yes no issue with the cold rating 5w is fine.
But the thicker warm rating w50 isn’t going to protect the engine which w30 or w40 cannot so disagree a bit there. W30/40 might result in better output because of less thickness when engine is warm and easy movement of the metal parts.
Yes I am that's why saying pour in 5w and 50 remains unchanged to see how does the sound smoothens out.If it doesn't he needs to get the belt tensioner or oil pump checked. If it does then he can later change it to 5w40 or 10w40
Update changed to Zic 10w40 and sound is still coming
Sound comes for how long?
Brother depends upon how much cold car is, as soon as temperature comes normal the sound goes away.. I'm so confused everyone saying different thing somebody says oil pump, some say thick oil, some say timing chain
Torque convertor of your transmission is giving up. You might be able to run it a year or so, but eventually you'll need to change it. Same thing happened with me as well. Drive it, check oil level if it's ok or not Change transmission when it starts giving bad jerks.
You told me a new thing.. there should be a degree or course where every mechanic has to go through and get a certificate because every mechanic tells different problems
Also the sound also comes whenever I press brake harshly even when engine is warm
How much time bro? To silence the sound?
5-10 mins sometimes even more
I have recorded a video with sound in it but can't upload it because PW thinks that i have denied them access to storage even tho there's no such option
