Car (Mehran) locked or what?

First think I noticed when I came to the car to drop kids to school was that the remote was not working at all. It was like dead. Then I sat in the car and as soon as I turned the ignition to ON loud alarm started off I couldn't stop it no matter what I pressed on the remote. It stopped itself after about half a minute. When ever I turn the ignition on or start the car it does the same and car of course won't start. Can any one suggest to me what is wrong? Why the remote does not work at all and the alarm goes off every time???

Change your remote batteries.. Your car is locked, remote is not responding and the alarm goes off everytime you try to start it.

simply remove fuze on red wire under ur dash to drive ur car till the time u get ur remote to work.

when there is no unlock signal from remote the security system is in locked state. it is working as it should. check your remote for any problems or low batteries or rusted connections.

just change the battery of the remote and all is well same happen to me and it has no solution except to remove the security system or just to replace the battery of remote control

Do What Irfan said, Remove the fuse. Or Unplug the security system if you see it under your steering. Get the remote checked. Is it batteries or its just became faulty.

Ok Thanks to all who replied. I got the cell replaced and all is working now. But I need to know how to disable this. I couldn't find the fuse under the steering wheel. There is a plethora of wires there and I have no clue which one.

^ every Tom dick & Harry knows abt the so called security devices available in market. They r just only usefull to lock unlock without using key. They r not security.

^^ all you need is a flat screwdriver, DONE...

to start it you need a spare ignition set - which is commonly available for Rs 200 everywhere, clip it in the harness start car and drive away - the new models got a steering lock which can be very easily broken.

I hate these cheap security devices they are nothing but lock unlock devices. Plus they add 30 wires under your steering and cut and peel all kind of wires. I did not install this in my car. Happy with stock central locking

moreover, mehran has door open indicator switch on driver side door only. other 3 doors & hatch is without any indicator switch. anybody opening other doors & entering wont trigger alarm. then u just hav to pull out a fuze/wire & security is vemooooos. takes abt 15-30 seconds.
