Car not on my name

Salaam, I had bought a second hand car 12 years ago and transferred it on my name, have all complete documents etc. A few days ago when i was trying to sell my car the car dealer asked if you have biometric .i came to know that in computerized record the car is still in the name of previous owner, My question is that is it possible to now transfer the car to new owner? if not.. how can i fix this issue. Thank You

I think you don't need to transfer the car but instead go to excise office and tell them to correct their record according to your documents.
