Car on Careem Profitable? if a car is given to a driver to drive on careem

Salam,

Ive got a straight forward question. Is careem profitable?

lets say i buy a 2012 cultus in prestine condition and hire a driver to drive it for 12 hours daily in the viccinity of Islamabad (main Islamabad f-11 to f-6)driver uses car for 12 hours daily and return it back to me after 12 hours. can that really be profitable and in the end of the month can i earn something off it?

Another option could be to give the car to someone who drives its round the clock and keep the car for whole month and just gives me stipend money of 30,000 every month.

I am unemployed these days so looking at all the options which car earn me some money.

Wa Alaikum Salam, Bro aaj kal severe competition honay ki wajha sey Careem itni profitable nai reh gye, jitna 2-3 sa'al pehlay takk hua karti thi, pehlay drivers / cars kamm thein and bonuses and profit margins zyaada, ub thora kamm ho gya hai. Last week, one of my friends said that if you drive your vehicle round the clock, then at the end of the month you can save 70-90,000 Rs. (Kamm zyaada b ho saktay hain)

Still, something is better than nothing I can suggest you to go for it. Terms and Conditions to aap hi ney teh karni hain, but Yes, at the end of the month, you will definitely get profit. Thora wisely chalna paray ga and driver ko b kafi khaench k rakhna paray ga, warna gari ka kabara ho jye ga.

with petrol touching 125 a litre very soon these cab hailing services will become dysfunctional, already these services have started accepting cars as old as 2004 sedans with CNG....

save your money.,

careem / uber etc are scamming business, you are brand taxi driver making money for brand which does not provide you any safety security insurance or compensation in case of crime, while you are paying for fuel & maintenance from your own pocket.

Bro any well-maintained 660cc, used JDM will serve the purpose well. And I am hopeful aapko I.A. 7 lac takk achi 660 cc car mill jye gee, just thora dig out karna paray ga.

Cultus is also a good option.

Jo b driver ho, just engine, transmission and cooling system ka khayal rakhay. Timely change of oil and filters, and maintaining coolant and it's level.

In that case,why don't you drive the car yourself on Uber/Careem ? it would save you the extra 20 thousand you'd have to pay the driver each month.

BTW, are you sure you can find pristine Cultus 11-13 in 7 lac?

BTW, my brother is also working with Uber/Careem with his Cultus 2007 (vxri CNG) ... He said he makes 40-50 a month excluding expenses; however, I don't think he runs it round the clock ...or maybe even 15-16 hours a day..: / but he says the real profit is in making bonuses and achieving targets, IDK what that is though...

brother, i suggest you to go for it. I am also completing my homework for the same business but out the country now. According to my research (January 2018 update). Cultus is the the best deal. Cheaper to buy, good resale, better and cheaper parts availability than 660cc cars. I have done some research in cities like karachi, lahore and islamabad. In lahore people are already getting around 55k excluding fuel price with cultus. In Karachi around 50k wtih cultus. and in Islamabad 50-60k with 660cc cars (could'nt manage to get the rates with cultus here).
People driving cultus are happy with there cars. Although very tough duty with no vacation is any issue with everyone.
Cultus is good if driven with and without CNG both (to get fuel economy, closest to 660cc).
But to get 30k with any of the car is difficult. Dont expect more than 25k.
Let's say if you get 50k in Islamabad. Then amount divided will be around 7k maintainace, 20k driver and 23k yours
Do let me know when you get some experience. I am about to jump in the same business after 5-7 months
