Firstly, your radiator champion is a moron, the pipes will get hard in normal condition.
Do not judge heat by feeling it, use an obd scanner to see if its overheating or not.
Thirdly flush system and fill with correct coolant mix and bleed properly.
Tip: when filling an empty system open the bleeder valve so air can escape as its filled. Then start engine and let it bleed air as it warms up, add coolant as required.
Once settled, its done.
To make life easier, make a bleed apparatus with a junked radiator cap, all you need to do is chop the pressure head of the cap off, drill a hole in it, solder a tube to it so its raised about 5 inches, stick a funnel in that so its tight.
This elevates liquid level and forces air out.
You can achieve this with a tight fitting funnel directly in the radiator cap opening.
