Car overheating

I have mini pajero 4x4 automatic..From last 2 months i am facing overheat in car and heat guage goes upto maximum..I have recently cleaned the radiator and fan is also working good but still problem remains same..Mehanic also check water pump and he said it's working fine..The problem of overheating starts when mehanic adjust tappets..Could u suggest the solution and if tappets are tight so at what point it is adjusted ?

Is car reducing water?Try replacing radiator cap and use quality one.R u seeing mixture of oil in the radiator.If yes then issue is of headgasket.

Car is not reducing water and there is no mixture of oil in it.

Check thermostat valve it might be damaged and replace it and radiator cap.Take a look at the radiator fins if they r bent or fine.
