it won't go away with compound, the problem is that a whole layer of paint has peeled off

Sorry for the irrelevant reply but- @xulfiqar, do you know where to buy 2k and 3k grit sandpapers in karachi... I have orange peel on my repainted hood and i need to even things out...

For removing orange peel u can use sand paper of 1000 and 1500 grit korean made riken or chinese chand tara or u can get 3m paper as well I can tell a place in nazimabad
