I totally disagree with Strom here,
Local Mechanics are not idiots by just calling the names which they can have learned over the time and understand, ENGLISH is not their first language so i think its pointless here,
just call the part what it is and if they don't understand just look at them as if they are morons

1- they didn't drag you in their shop you went in by all yourself based on your experiences so you need to discuss in language which they understand.
2- Even if i ask you about any part in different language which you don't understand then should this mean the same to you????? Morons???
AS a senior member of PW i didn't expected this from @Strom
They are humans and working for halal income in these very hard times so please don't use these sort of wording for someone's ignorance, and by not knowing ENGLISH is not a crime, they have 100% right of naming something which is easy for them to recall and understand.
