Car reducing engine oil

Please comment why engine oil is reduced in very short time, I have monitored my car daily after the last oil change, and I have noticed that it was left with half of the oil in one week time. Please note there no smoke and nothing wrong apparantly with engine. Your valuable comments please

U must be using Shelll

Check the following:

1. Head Gasket
2. Chamber Packing
3. Oil pump seals

It seems that either of them have some leakage and need them to replace.

2 reasons for oil level deceasing..

1. Leaks (Not usually the case as it is very visible at the place where you park car..)

2. oil burning with fuel... may or may not result in a smoke..

get ur car checked on computerized tuneup..and get the emmission checked... if ur engine is weak.. and is consuming oil.. u need to put in slightly thicker oil..

another thing which you need to know is that if the oil level at the dipstick is at the half..it does not means that the oil in the engine is half... the ratio is not the same for the dipstick...

but you should not ignore if the level is decreasing...

please give us sum detail about your car... so that ppl might advise you whih oil to use...

onr more thing... when are you checking your engine oil... is that after a run..or at the cold engine...

check the oil level twice... first clean the dipstick.. then insert it again..and then take out.. for correct reading.... you want to do it in the morning... at cold engine...

headgasket does not seems to b the case...

he mentiuoned no signes of car heating...

you also need to check for oil n water mixing up... you can do that by examining the presence of oil in the radiator.. water will shine with colors of oill... less likely..

all the other things are relating to leakages.. he needs to check oil spots overnight under the car.. when he takes it out at morning...

Half of Oil in 1 Week time means massive leakage.....
Possibilites are Chamber Seal Leaks........or some seals from bottom losing oil....its much oil yaar....if its burning......it must show some seroius smoke out back .............check radiator that either water and oil is not mixing.......thats possible due to head gasket blown....but in that condition....car was heated till its max............
seals are looking problems here............also check oil chamber from bottom for the ideas that where oil was actually going....

Hii Guys.. I have Suzuki Alto VXR 2007.. I m using Caltex Havoline (20-50) Engine oil for it.. After every 1200 km the engine oil is reduced.. There is no black smoke.. No oil leakage.. No mixing of oil in the radiator.. No engine sound.. No heating of the car.. Everything is normal.. That's y i m confused because i dont know the reason behind it.. My father said that on CNG the car's engine oil is reduced,its a normal thing.. But if anyone knows anything about this please help me..

I'm using shell and it is reducing oil on long route. Car gave me low oil light after driving 600kms after oil change, Is that the reason?

if that is the case that car give oil light on 600km drive after change......your engine is seriously in need of fixing/rebuild ..its a massive leak which could be some seal or rings
