Car revving up before gear shift

Hi Guys, I have a slight problem that I noticed this morning while driving to work. I own a 2002 Civic VTi Prosmatec. On my way to work my car started to rev 500-800 rpm just before gear shift but there was not jerk in the gear shift. I showed it to my mechanic and he said that it is a Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) problem. I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion, and he said to check the transmission fluid, it was light red in color and the level was also maximum. If anyone can help me out with it, I can send him a video that I made of the revving before gear shift.

from your explanation above, it seems as if the transmission clutch slip issues. These transmissions are prone to these type of problems after a long time. You have to either repair the transmission or replace it.

Thanks man. Got it checked, it was a throttle positioning sensor issue.
