Why we need seat covers for brand new cars? Seat covers are required when the original seats get old or fade or discolour.

I never put seat covers in any of my cars and enjoy the original contours, fabric and leather feel.

A friend bought Corolla in 2011 and sold it after six years and never got to see or feel the original seats. The next buyer also continued with those seat covers, so for whom we cover them?

I am getting Altis 1.6. It comes in simple fabric. I want to have good quality leatherite. Any leads for someone whos expert at stitching (seats plus stearing wheel) and have good quality leatherite too.

BTW I kept 1.6 for 14 months on original fabric seats. Once kids drop ketchup but it was cleaned perfectly by Astonish fabric cleaner. Leatherite seats get hot in sun, but if you want them please contact @arkhitekt bhai he has a good seat maker in Lahore.

What are the charges ?
And hows the quality of material and stitching?
Do they take off the steering wheel to stitch leather over it ? I am a bit worried by this part

Charges depend on the type of leather you select. Starts from 6k and goes till 12k. The steering if needed like an oem Grande stitching needs to be removed. If just a stitched cover is needed then it isn’t removed. The stitching and workmanship is seriously good.

I sold three cars with seat covers, nobody removes seat covers to inspect seats. Waisay bhee covers kay andar bhee seat ka kabara ho jata ha with the passage of time and they give very stale look and deformities are also visible.

Generally when people put their car on sale they put on new seat covers which improves the interior look a bit.
