Hello, all after selling my GLI 2009( which has serious floor rust) now i am looking to buy a car. I am looking for automatic with trunk. I considered city prosmatec but here on pakwheels i learnt that it has very bad fuel averae like Gli. I researched about gli 1.3 auto but it has also very low average. Now these are the cars which lies in my budget. If i buy these cars city prosmatec 1.5 2016 or gli 1.3 auto 2015, then can i install cng into them? Is there anyone here who using these cars with cng. And please suggest me a car. I found that city prosmatec, gli auto, grande, altis CVT has alomost same average.

I can tell you about corolla driven in Lahore.
Gli auto got worst fuel economy figures. I bet city 1.5 auto will give equivalent fuel figures as that of 1.6 Altis.
Gli auto gives 8-9km/l in city and 13km/l at 120km/h.
1.6 Altis 9-10 in city and 14km/l at 120km/h
1.8 Altis cvt or Grande cvt gives 10-12km/l within city and 16km/l+ at 120km/h
I have 2016 1.8 Altis cvt which is extensively driven upto 200k kms now.

If gli auto is maintained and as per spec, it does 12 local, and 14 long, same goes for altis 1.6 and grande, grande is more economical on long, does around 16

Yes. You can install CNG in all of them and it will work flawlessly

Go for 1.5L AT City. It has better fuel economy than GLI and Altis 1.6L.

CNG looks cheap, but there are risks involved. Carrying heavy CNG cylinder, composing almost all trunk space with cylinder, engine on CNG performance deteriorates with the passage of time and frequent shortage of CNG.

1.6 Altis 9-10 in city and 14km/l at 120km/h

My 1.6 Altis (first facelift), gives 10.5-13 km/l in Lahore (I never had a fuel consumption lower than 10.5, and very rarely less than 11). The 14 km/l is spot on though for long. Grande over anything if there's frequent Motorway travel!

I can get 8km/l and 14km/l in city from my car as well. It depends upon driving style.

For me to get 8km/l in the city I would literally need to be stuck in traffic at least an hour every drive and practically floor the gas pedal every chance I can get, sounds a little unrealistic. The 14 km/l in the city would be perfect conditions of clear roads without many stops (something like driving only during odd times), which is also somewhat uncommon.

The point was to give a realistic expectation of a day to day fuel consumption, rather than quoting the absolute max/min achievable, for the people reading and potentially thinking of making the shift to CNG or not.
