Car Soundproofing in Islamabad/Pindi?

Hi. First post I believe. Ive been a long time lurker here.

So here's the deal, I have a City 2004, manual. And the road and especially the engine noise lately has started to drive me crazy. You can hear the engine over the stereo as soon as the revs hit 2.5 and above. And the road noise on 60kph and above is quite loud as well. Gets insane on speeds above 80. Drives me crazy, and is generally very very irritating.

So basically Im looking for someone here in Islamabad or Pindi who could sound-proof this thing.

Suggestions please? Any people you know who do this here? How much am I looking at in terms of 'kharcha'?

If you are looking for a cheap effective solution then fitting the jumbolon sheets or tyre tubes between the door trims and underneath the carpet would work.

A pack of Dynamat costs Rs23,000 which is enough for covering a whole car like City.It may be a bit costly but if you want a branded solution then go for it.There isn't any comparison of Dynamat.

whoa thats steep. but worth the money i think. does the dynamat dealer here also provide installation and how much are the installation charges? i think ill give them a call tomorrow.

ok so time to bring this thread up once more. the sound inside the cabin has become unbearable. its probably the front wheel bearings that need to be replaced, in fact im certain theyre done. plus the door and window rubbers are shot, and a lot of noise comes through there as well.

bro if you are gettting the bulk pack you can split it with me, what do you say? we'd pay half and split the dynamat roll in half.. trust me, I have put front door kit in my honda city07 and the results were unbelieveable.. I want to dyna all my car now.. City in terms of sound proofing is ****.. No offence..

that sounds good. i can split. but how will we go about it, since you're in lahore.

and i agree, city (and especially the old model's) soundproofing is cr@p!

there must be something wrong with ur car as i recently had a ride in my friend's city 05 vario and it was very quite at speeds upto 80 and above as at 100 km per hour the rpm was around 2.75 and at 80 it was great.what is this sound like??must be a bearing or something so first check the car mechanically and then go for soundproofing

if ur car has rpm above 3k-3.25k at 100 km/hr u must inspect the clutch plate and pressure plates because if they are weak then there is no use of soundproofing
