My cousin bought a brand new Coure in January/February 2010, his car had tracker, a touch alarm as well as some other special security alarm or anti-theft lock which i dont know. He also installed his father's 20-25 year old steering lock which I think must be a very strong one. In December 2010, He parked his car between 2 cars outside the Karachi Arts Council at around 8-8:30pm. When he came back at around 10pm, the 2 cars between them he parked his car were present, but his car was gone. He went to the police station thinking his car has been lifted by the police, no success. He called the tracker company, the company said we received your car's signals from the spot you parked in till 9pm, and at 9:15pm, there were no signal from the car. It has been since, he did all he could, but hasn't found his car. I don't know how the thieves took his car. All i know, is that the tracker thing is useless !
