@ Arsalan: Very sad to know the loss of your cousin. My he find his car.
It reminded me the incident of my friend’s car that was stolen in 5 minutes by a very simple modus of operandi.
Last year, my friend went to market and parked his car a few 100 meters away from the bakery from where he wanted to shop as the parking space was not available right in front or any closer to the shop.
He went to shop, bought the bakery items and came back to the parking area after about 5 minutes. To his surprise, the car was not there……….. He looked here and there but to no avail. He called 15 and police also came after 20 minutes but the car could not be traced.
My friend happens to be from a very influential family and they got the car and robbers recovered through police within days. When the robbers were arrested my friend also met with them when they were under the custody of police. As, my friend was very much interested to know from robbers that how they could get away with his car just in less than 5 minutes…..???? The robbers narrated the whole story at police station which goes like:-
“Usually when people park cars in congested parking lot they often forget the exact place where they had parked the vehicle and we used this tactic. As soon as you entered the shop, we put a dust cover on your car and thus your car was mixed up with other nearby cars of shop keepers which were already parked with dust covers on. (As you might have seen often the shop keepers park their car in front of their shop and put the dust covers). When you came back you could not see the car but in fact it was right in front of you. We were also there watching you from a distance and we also saw police after some time at the site. After an hour or so you went away with police . We came back at 5 O’clock and your car was still there under the dust cover. We just removed the cover, disengaged the alarm and fled away with your car”.
