I have some system of C track in my other GLI 2009 !
A theft attempt happen few months back but Thanks to ALLAH that on pulling out the rare mirror it broke and alarm sounded and they run off, anyways, i too have this jammer thingy in mind, so i cleared it with my tracker company, they have a system upgrade like if no signal received to the car due to jammer or gsm service for user selected time !!!! the tracker will lock the car its-self !!! I think its good feature ......

Buy the car which is not HOT in the market, Mehran, XLI/GLI, EXI are the favorites for these thieves.......and very easy to get stolen, even Police in ISB has put in banners on the roads that donot install trakker in ur cars and its now a failed solution.......Go for some desi electrical locks and i have also seen a new electronic lock ad in the paper...let me find/get the ad and put it here for everyone...

It takes less than 30 mins to disarm and detatch the tracker.

Get an insurance policy to cover the risk.

sorry to hear about the loss..youtube or many websites can help any one to knw how to over ride the tracker ... its just for our own peace of mind tht we have tracker and car is fully dafe now..hope it gets recovered...
my frnd has ne w gli and has got desi security system..when u need to strt the car,u have to press the parking btton,THE BUTTON THT TURNS ON BOTH TURN LIGHTS>.

bro this is what exactly happend to my bro in law in lhr last night..its 2011 city and he just got installed pioneer-avh-p3300bt-dvd with sonly xpolad components and sonly xpolad amp.. like last week... the car is insured and with the tracking company named as al-shaymaa ...last night by chance it was parked outside t and some one broke the left mirror and opend the car and took out the full pannel including dvd player and ac pannel...no tracking company informed that some one is messing up with the wires or car... its a big loss ..we launched FIr and had a chat with tracking company and they simply said on our face we can only investigate why the system didnt work we cant do much about it and they simply said it sometmes not work...like wth ..its one of the expensive company for tracking even honda is advising customers to put this comapnay's tracker..but of no use...and today i finally came on this experience that tracking is a piece of **** in every case..u cant do anythn once the thieves come with full prepartions..thse shashkas cant help u out and even these tracking companies are piece of crap....

There is a bio-metric security system too in the market, which requires your thumb prints for starting the car. I know a man who do this in lhr and isb. Has anyone tried this system?

my opinion is to make entry to the garage difficult, like someone said here to install motion tracker light thats a good idea or install a hydrulic ramp on the slope of your garage like police offices have these days, or electrify your garage door ( its a bit dangerous )

well the best thing to prevent this is just keep a pair of dogs...!it might seem funny but its v practicl mine house is about an acre big bd there is no way to gaurd mine 8 cars at night properly,i have two pairs of dogs nd at night i unleash them.

my car got stolen from G9 markaz b4 eid and they werent giving FIR,had to ask some one who had SP as friend thats how got the FIR atleast

If m not wrong, Baleno was the first brand in Pakistan with an immobilizer. I once asked a locksmith what they could do now since he was boasting ov programmed keys to which he replied, 'We can make a key which will enable you to unlock the doors. Once done, you can cut it off, redirect the wires and are set to go.'

Of what we can make out from sharings above is that theives still manage to get to the main car. A couple of years ago I heard that they took out two cars from a driveway, stole the big one, Corolla i think, and even put the other two back!

I'll give this locksmith a vacation to Hawai if "redirecting wires" will start your immobiliser Baleno.

The immobiliser circuit does not intercept anything - it locks out the ECU, The ECU waits for a correct signal from the immobiliser module - which is not a static signal btw. and verifies that the key is original.

There are different types of thieves in the market.

1 - small time Mehran thief - simple job to get in and install a new ignition switch to the wiring.

2 - a little pro - has got some nice tools to enter a locked car and disarm a tracker - they do not target cars with immobilisers

3 - pros - they have got key makers with them (usually informed by locksmiths) - they disarm the main battery and jam the tracking unit.

4 - Goons - they will even tow your car away (have seen that happen) - they come with a truck and forklift or a chain type loader. They even do it in broad daylight.

one day i inserted the key to strt d car but it ws badly stucked,by applyng alot of force i mngd to strt it,i strait way took the car to a key wala(cz i knew it ws smthing wrong with the lock inside it,it had nthng to do with immobilizer)it ws the time of mghrib when i went there the key wala looked it nd said that it'l be done,i decided the laboour nd the key wala took it off the car nd took that to the kharadiya for repair of the internal levers.
after a long time he came back nd the sumry is tht he told me that it can't be repaired now nd u hv to come agin tmrw,i'l start ur car nd u'l b abl to go home nd tmrw u jst call me nd tell me ur adress nd i'l cm there nd fix the thing up.
i told him tht it wont get strtd cz thrzz an immobilizer in d car he said i'l direct the wires or smthin like that.
nd atlast he strtd d car nd i took it to home.

You mean to say he HOT wired the car and it started ?? by passing an immobiliser ???

Tracking companies are making FOOL of innocent people, they only realise it when they get HURT. - Most of tracking companies have retired soliders to handle angry customers. Tracking devices are TOY for the car jackers. by passing a tracker is less then 30 sec job
