thanx @mods
your aunt didn't heard the engine sound coz it wasn't running. Thieves push the cars away from the area and then start the engine so that nobody from the home can hear the sound of engine being started. Now you need to wait for a call from the thieves. They will ask for money from you in order to get the car back. That might happen and can't be a sure shoot.

My dog don't eat raw meet plus make its stomach full before you go to sleep. Its not 100% protection but at least a dog is a threat in the first sight like a weapon.
n wat if the thief is professional cook. maybe ur dog likes his cooked meat so much keh car key saath saath khud bhee chala jaayay lolz....just kiddin...i agree with u, dog can be a gud solution. ideal is to get an immobilizer from abroad, but then the main problem wud be of installing it here in pakistan as our even "qualified" electricians in toyota and honda know "tusshh" abt anything
Why not make your main gate secure ?

from all the information i gathered about cars being stolen,no lock or no method really works 100% ......its a useless long debate which is going on here
1) buy a honda or anything else (this will reduce the probability by 50% of car being stolen)2) do 100% value insurance of car from the best firms like Adam Jee

train the dogs in such a way that they do not eat anything frm a stranger, mine are damn trained nd do not eat anything from a stranger.th'l die with hunger but wil not eat anything from the guy thy dnt knw.nd bleave me if smbdy cmz at ni8 at my home,i hv to tie them back with leashes bcz they bcm so agresive in this regard tht tearing apart a man wont b a big job for them.i kept guards etc etc but this is the most secure nd reliable cure of the prob.

Well many useful tips from Xulfiqar bhai & other experts have been gathered so far, here in this thread for everyone's benefit.
I pray that the thieves meet their fate soon & the loss of owner be recovered by His blessings.
I am not sure about the authenticity but have heard from some reliable sources that Liana's parts are very hard to find in Kabari market due to it being least prone to car lifting. In Rwp/Isb, at least it is very very difficult to find it's used parts in Kabarr.
How can you secure the gate if you cannot secure the car by puttng so much sophisticated instruments, trackers and lock. Thieves/decoits should not be given so much time that they can work with free mind. These car lifters consist of expert people like electricians, key makers, mechanics and are sponsored by anti car lifting police department. This is a mafia which have very influencial people on their back. My gate is fixed in small boundary wall, so someone can jump into the front yard. Do what ever you can do to save yourself. Have a weapon as well, its a must now a days. In my opinion a dog is one of the first line of defense.
