I had a brand new nissan altima automatic transmission fail (literally failed to move the car) under 10,000 miles, doesnt mean the entire run is dogshit, because there were and still are literally tens of thousands of them on the roads.

similarly the old toyota MZ engines were famously "sludging" up and we have tons of stories online. While literal millions of them were on the road and still are. Magic perhaps?

Any car will work flawlessly if you can keep up its maintenance, as in real and proper maintenance, not just haail chenjj, trattal serviss, cat cleaning and the religious champi paalish, now if you believe in hearsay and memes and dont follow the basic guidelines of buying a brand product then its your own fault.

I will say it again that it is your assumption that the car ( Liana ) wasn’t provided with good maintenance especially when it is car’s first year and it still going to dealership for maintenance. The success or failure of a car depends on the percentage of units failed. Moreover, the warranty claim rates, recall rates, market performance of that car and customer satisfaction rates plays a huge role in deciding the success or failure of a car. For example, if a significant percentage of units (typically over 10%) experience major issues, this can be seen as a sign of a problematic model. I will not hesitate to say that Nissan Altima was a problematic car because 350,000 units between 2015-17 were recalled. Stats don’t lie !!!

If huge numbers of cars are still on the road then it can be associated with one simple reason that the people who invested their money without prior knowledge want to make best use of it. Such problematic models aren’t easy to sell due to damaged repute just like Liana in Pakistan.
In short, we will have to believe that there are good cars and bad cars. Cars that run without any issues and cars that are too problematic to have that only workshop owners can have them if they are too much in love with a specific model. We will also have to believe that there is good engineering and bad engineering that decides a car’s success. It is not always the fault of owners who buy them. Billion dollars car manufacturing corporations also make blunders and the percentage of these blunders increase especially in regions with low or no regulation by the government like in Pakistan.

Thankyou for posting an AI search reply for the nissan, but you didnt bother reading my post, the transmission failed not the engine which was the old qr25 btw, and nissan replaced it under warrants not a recall, infact nissan has not issued a recall for the altima cvt unit till today.

If owners are always honest and follow eager maintenance then explain me why did the Mercedes benz sprinter vans fail in Pakistan? While its the most successful fleet vehicle in the world.

People in Pakistan love hearsay and “market sentiment “ no matter if it was coined by idiots, in the early days every single automatic gearrbox car was “fail” in Pakistan, later on all card wali were fail too, way way back, 1977 corolla was fail for some reason while 76 were kaamyaab when they were the same cars with different grilles.

Sunny 89 was fail whle 88 was kaamyaab while being same cars .

Problem is that people have strong opinions based on someone else’s experiences. Same people are the type who get fever and chills when asked to buy new genuine parts for maintenance like plugs and coils for a basic egg and potato econo car like a liana or corolla etc.

That para was centralised as an “evidence” that Nissan had failed Altima and no doubt that it was found with the help of AI. That’s why I centralised it. Evidence is always found in legal business and cannot be created. Hope you now know that why AI was used. Now even stats are lying as it wasn’t a recall. There are forums full of reviews where people are sharing their experiences that how their Altima became a headache. Even all those people are lying. It is you who is telling me that Mercedes Benz Sprinter is a failed vehicle in Pakistan while I have not seen a single one of them in Pakistan giving any problems. It is used by different state departments and is one the best fleet vehicle. Even with Sarkari maintainence it do wonders. Don’t know which Pakistan you are talking about. And since you have moved to the US your whole argument is based on blaming that Pakistani people are living in illusions and hearsay. People aren’t fool here as well. Opinions are not formed on hearsay but by the experiences of others and one’s own self. And a wise man is the one who learns from the experiences of others while a goof doesn’t even learn from his own experiences. Why don’t I have any issue with a Corolla, Civic, City, Mercedes, Hilux, Prado, Khyber, swift or Cultus ? Because none of them was a headache. Khyber used to do wonders even in such mountaineous areas where City used to get fail in going uphills. Potohar of the same brand used to get us to Khaploo ( Ahead of Skardu ) quite easily . When a car has bad engineering I have the guts to say it bad. I don’t care what others think but I will always advise others on basis of truth that was formed by personally experiencing something.

The department in which people like you are not given access. That department is using Mercedes in quite abundance. So don’t tell me that no department in Pakistan is using Mercedes only because you don’t have any exposure. Already mentioned that I cannot create any data by myself so I picked it with the help of AI and from the websites of different organisations but you couldn’t comprehend it. And when the company couldn’t explain us that why the new engine of a brand new Liana seized then how could I tell you ? All I could do was share my experience. I never said that the complete production line of Suzuki is garbage. It is again your own assumption as you are very good at making assumptions. I already mentioned that Khyber, Potohar, Swift, Cultus and many other vehicles of the same brand were capable of doing wonders as I myself experienced them doing so while buying Liana was equal to buying pain. It is not only because of a single experience of one of my friends. Many others back in those times had same experience as Liana was marketed better than a XLI and equal to a GLI . So those who preferred on paper specs ended up buying a machine with no reliability. I don’t have anything personal with Suzuki. I still own a Khyber and that car is an amazing machine especially when you pull its choke and get some extra power. It might be the case that Pakistan assembled Liana had issues due to poor regulations while international variants might be equally good. Just like there exists a difference in the quality of Hilux Vigo Pakistan assembled and Thailand assembled. So there is nothing personal. Hope you get it now !!!

And bravo!! Once again you are basing your entire argument of “faulty engineering “ based on user reviews of “injunn chakk maargya” and listening to some online echo chambers rather than find out with documentary evidence from the brand name that the engineering was actually dogshit

I can give you examples, of your favorite brand too.

Toyota 1zz had actual BS designed into it on the first iteration, toyota literally pulled a GM on themselves and used undrilled oil ring land pistons (on an engine without oil squirters, yea thats literally stupid as hell and toyota admitted to it and fixed it in later versions)

Toyota 2az early version has 130mm head bolts but only 20mm threads engage the block (this is not stupid but retarded), it was admitted by toyota and fixed it later models, for customers with bad engines, they sold an updated short block.

These are two very simple ones, there are lots of others too.

No engineering is perfect, no car is perfect, but if you bump in with arguments of actual design faults, its better to have actual meaningful conversations rather than some nonsense based upon online claims of some brain dead moron who only knows “twist key to start, no result.. car is shit!, its engineering is shit. Its design is garbage - while the global market is using that same engine/body combo very successfully.
