Need Suggestion:
Sedan Car purchase option under 13 14 lakhs.
Will Use CNG in local plus Petrol on long in it.
Obviously will keep in mind that in Start it might need maintaince.
Which car is relatively better on CNG and Petrol both?
These cars are in my mind
1) Corolla SE 16 Valve
2) Civic 2000
3) Baleno
4) Liana

Corolla is best as it can be rebuilt dozens of time to almost orignol condition others are generally irreparable

1. Don’t even go near the liana and baleno. Both are failed / flopped models. Engine failures are common in both. You won’t find any comfort in them. Buying them is just buying a headache for yourself.
2. Decide between Corolla and Civic. If you want reliability then go for Corolla. It can be brought back into its original condition. However, if you want speed and a little more comfort then go for Civic.
3. Just get the one which you are getting in a cleaner condition.

Btw what's better? Get a EFI Cultus or Corolla 1995? I Know both are different cars but when it comes to fuel average both don't have much differences?

Pros of a relatively newer Cultus like 2012+ model would be less body damage.

Very biased review of liana and Baleno.
First of all I own it since 2014. Liana vurv eminent 2009 and I have never faced any failures. Timely maintenance is essential for all cars. Being in professional business have serviced many Baleno. And they are also very good cars and there's no such thing as engine failures.

Civic ninth gen has a block glitch, after 200k or less block gets blown. Is it a fail car?

So please avoid giving reviews if you have minimal knowledge about cars..

Sir cultus 2012+ would be a new car, electronics will be good and you will have to spent less on maintenance.
While Toyota on other hand is robust yet durable and has a amazing drive and comfort compared to cultus.
But you will have to spent some amount to bring it to its optimal condition. And then only you can enjoy it.

Suzuki liana would be a better pick from all of the list, considering latest technology

1) Airconditioning
2) drive
3) mild parts price
4) better interior.

You just need to get the maintenance done at first, like get a good car in better price so you can spend some money on it at time of purchase to make it reliable.
Can guide you on it, like what maintenance to do.

I know it hurts when someone give negative reviews of the car you own but reality cannot be changed. Suzuki has dominated in Pakistan in small car segment. In order to dominate in the sedan segment they first launched Margalla that wasn’t any success as compared to its counterparts like Civic and Corolla. Then it launched baleno that again failed to compete with Civic and Corolla. Then the same story repeated with the launch of Liana. My friend bought a brand new liana back in 2007 I guess ( wrt year ) by comparing its on paper specs with Corolla XLI and his car engine was seized on the way to Murree. A few months old car’s engine failing. Wow !!! However, I owned a Corolla XLI 2005 model. Bought it brand knew from Karachi. Drove it over 3 lac kilometres over the same company fitted engine. Never had to worry about anything except regular oil changes and regular maintenance. Not even a single problem was faced by me. Could take it anywhere anytime. Sold it a few years back. You are right to mention that your Baleno has never given you any problem but do you know why ? Because you are yourself a mechanic and knows ins and outs of a car in depth while a common man doesn’t. So why advise him a car that’s difficult to maintain or requires more maintenance ? Whatever I have mentioned is based on my personal experiences that’s why I will prefer a Corolla or a Civic over a Baleno or Margalla anyday.

Yes it works great on after market cng kit. Im not a fan of cng but we used it while we bought the car. Eco was also good.

First of all, I am not a mechanic. Let me tell you I am a computer scientist but a old car geek.
Secondly I have my hands in every brand.
And I'm not giving him opinion based on my personal favourites. I'm telling him a quench of past 10 years where I have hundreds and thousands of different car issues, car reviews by users, the problems that came to us and parts feasibility. So I'm not just a enduser like you blabbering around on public forums, based on personal favourites.
I have Toyota 2006,, Suzuki liana, Nissan b14 x2, Toyota corona, prado 2lte and a Toyota bj40.
And I've never heard this story that engine of liana seized anywhere. Not even in past 10 years. And never ever got any case in my workshop too. So please don't propogate false news.

Exactly here in Islamabad too I've seen rotrex superchargers beating the heck out of Mseries stock.
And on the other hand people installin six puk on Baleno, putting out every ounces of engine power on the road. But strange thing is even they don't result in seizure.

I already mentioned that the liana was brand new so there exists no point of getting plumbers and local mechanics to work on it.
