Car takes too much ignitions (Self) on starting after 4-hours

I live in Lahore Daroghawala near Shalamar Garden.I am using Charade. it has been 2-weeks now that I am facing this problem. two weeks ago and complained for starting problem as well jerks and back fire when driving. Car stalls on slow sometimes too. he cleaned spark plugs and point. on my question he said that no need to change them as they are okay. next morning car took too many ignitions. i went to him again. he make some settings with carburetor. It happens only at starting, otherwise no problem while traveling. For some same days it happens daily that car at starting takes too many ignitions. when i approached mechanic again and describe the problem, he did the setting of tappets. Next morning, result was same at starting. Yesterday evening when i annoid on mechanic, he told me that head needs to be opened as he thinks that valves are weak.

I am fade up now after weeks with same problem.

check timing of the car. get it advanced from 10-15 degrees if it is running on petrol. issue will be resolved.

if on gas advance it to 20 degrees.

once it starts, when you turn it off and start again, does it start quickly or takes long self?

once after starting. I turn off and start several times. It starts one first attempt always. It happens only when there is a long interval of hours.

I checked with mechanic. He said that he did advance the timing too.

do check if any of the plugs is broken or cracked. i faced similar issue and one of my plugs was cracked.

remember starting is always and only about plugs, plug wires, timing and air fuel ratio of the car. which city are you in?

no need to go to head or other parts.

Then the problem is your fuel line, it doesn't keep the fuel there, once turned off, the fuel gets drained from the line back to the tank, which is not supposed to happen, get that checked

What is the solution to this problem of Fuel Line then?

For starters, get your fuel pump checked, if thats alright, then check the air release pipe of your fuel tank

One thing i forgot to tell you that at start of this problem, mechanic asked me to use 50% Hi octane & 50% Petrol. I did so. Is this problem occurred due to that reason. My tank is nearly empty now and I am going to fill only routine petrol this time.

Yesterday & Today morning as somebody advised me to pedal the accelerator for 10-12 times before starting. I did so and it started on first ignition. I want to thank you for your support. Really appreciate.

It's good that your problem is resolved.
If cold start cause troubles, get the tapet checked from a proper mechanic. Sometimes tapets get jammed.

Tapping the accelerator manually brings the fuel from the tank to carb. only 3 full taps are ample to get the relevant amount of fuel

If pumping solves your issue, it isn't a bad thing, stick to it

I am doing it successfully from many days now. Is fuel pump weak? If yes then suggest that i change it with same one or with electric fuel pump.

If its working well, and car has no issue, then why fidget with it?
