Car Tax Submission / Sindh - [ Finally in 2020 Good News ]

Hi,

Have anybody recently experienced http://taxportal.excise.gos.pk/ in order to submit their car tax in Sindh.

They have started the online service for tax paying using IBFT but none of the Banks are accept online payments since there is no option listed on Internet Banking

Also there is no staff since March 2020 in Awami Markaz or any other branches. Didn't tried Civic Centre

Mine is showing Challan with Service Charges

I think after printing from email, we have to submit it in bank

I stand corrected.. seems they are planning to start online payment system also. I see some changes in the portal.

What a shitty website, May God help sindh goverment. Look at the FAQ menu. They are making it difficult only so common man cannot be in peace and go through all the agents process idiots 🤦🏻‍♂️

I took 20 tries to add 1 beneficiary. Everytime an error occurs. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I guess il send someone on monday to pay remaining / pending taxes

Same here... phir sometimes it recognize the registration number and in sometime it even wont recognize that number

Reading above it seems the Awami Markaz is close too... I am Islamabad bases tu apni khani tu kuch aur hee hai.... Funny thing here are people begging govt to collect tax from them and it is ignoring us.

By the way I was able to generate OTPN... but now sure with that 6 digit code... there is no link or provided.

Its just sindh government, they just want to keep middle man, brokers in between and not make things easy for the common man.

Sindh Government is really the most corrupt government and they do not want transparency so in comparison to province Punjab, KPK & Federal Islamabad, they did this shit to citizens that they issued website to satisfy people but it is non-functional.

Even OTP, they sent me after 1 day

If they would be honest, they would give option of online submission from bank + credit card/debit card but their corrupt soul has not allowed them to ease Citizens of Sindh specially Karachi

Got as far as the OTP generation, after that no bank support from SCB / HBL or BAHL . Maybe some other bank is on their panel?

They haven't advertised the website so the masses could access it. Such big loosers.

Tried NBP, UBL and BAHL..

But unfortunately, there is no such option of Excise & Taxation in Bill Payment section of any Internet Banking or Mobile App. I guess they have not yet worked on 2nd step of tax payment, the website is working till OTP generation. May be they will fix this in next 5 years or so...

Update: Just tried generating OTPN with Chrome and it worked..... but as mentioned by users, don't think Sind Excise will be appearing in any Bank right now.

Upon checking their source code, it looks like they will have an option of Official Receipt delivery to your home address:

As you can see I was trying to pay online the token tax of a Karachi registered vehicle since mid July. After some frustrating days I was able to generate ‘OPTN’ which turned out to be a word of an alien language for the banks in Islamabad, in fact even for the banks in Karachi. My contact who approached the banks in Karachi with the OPTN was told ‘bhai caapy ley kar aayain, yeh OPTN ka humany nahi pata’.
Anyways finally sent the ‘caapy’ (registration book) to Karachi last week and was charged addition Rs 375/- as “Panelty On MV Tax”. The token amount last year was Rs. 3,750/- this year it was Rs 1,875/- token amount and arrears of Rs.1,875/- Not sure about the these payment heads but in short I got the ‘caapy’ back with the token paid till June 30, 2021.

Today I discovered this car token tax portal, registered right away. I thought system worked as I got the SMS within seconds and added my vehicle details. Generated PSID, but it seems no other system recognizes it

Not showing up in any internet banking portals or ATMs, and now I read here that not even bank staff knows what to do with it. I'm already 2 months late and there's no easy way to pay token tax for my vehicle.

Hopefully PSID support comes soon. There should atleast be some indication from them that this system is not working or a demo so people don't waste their time. As a last ditch effort, I will be checking in ATM, possible that Sind Excise shows up as biller there long before it shows up on Internet Banking...

They have added "Print Paid Challan" option as well, it was not there previously so hope its a few weeks away and not months or years away. I can bet the Excise Deparment is hurting because people won't be making the same number of tax payments with them as say last year, esp. after COVID and now post-rain situation in Karachi so they need to make this work ASAP.
