Car Token Dedicated Thread (Process, Tax Amount, Registration, Smart Card, Online Tax)

Went to the post office today, unlike previously, now to transfer token from one post office to another u have to go to the original post office and get a NOC. Only then can it be transferred, provided the first post office gives u that NOC. Seems like every $%#$%n. policy of the government is to make things harder to achieve for general public.

really sorry to hear that. i reconfirmed from my colleague. all he did was write an application and pay 50 rupees in the new post office. but this is for islamabad(federal).

Punjab(lahore) must be having the NOC rule. that sucks

i had the option to go for local sleeves and keep original size pistons.but with mutual consent of pakwheels friends we decided bigger pistons would be better then local sleeves. i got 50 size pistons which makes my car almost 1650cc

Ab to Suzuki Rakhna Asaan nahin. Last year I paid Rs.540/- for Mehran on 5th July 2008 in DHA Lahore. After 13th July the token tax rates were revised. This year when I went to pay token tax, post office people charged fine of last year and tax of this year as well. The total amount I paid was Rs.2400/-. Guys wats going on in this country. Pray that God help us. Aameen

it is last year Income Tax + Provicinal Tax amount , it is not fine , which most of ppl. donot paid last year (paid token tax before 13th july) , Some ppl. are lucky this time again , becuase notice of recivied last year income tax and provicianl tax amount come on 5th of july of this year

Last year i submitted Rs. 3500/- as a token money on 05/07/2008,

is dafa i went to submit my car token on 11/07/2009 at lalkuti's post office (Rawalpindi) the Post Master told me that last year they received a notification from the Govt regarding increase in token money so you will have to submit Rs. 5000/- instead of Rs 3500/- (Total tax for 2009 is Rs. 5000/-) is k saath saath Rs. 1500/- for the year 2008.

Well the token amounts are almost same (in case of Islamabad) my Xli has still 348 rs toke, but the rest is advance income tax which can be recovered when you file your income tax returns. Means if you have tax liability of 30,000 rupees you can deposit less after minus the advance tax. But for most of people this is not possible to do. Salaried persons tax is deducted at source, though they can claim a refund, but it is a cumbersome procedure. So in the end it is the tax payer that is at loss and government is fleecing in a way, which his not fair.

since ur car registeration is older then 10 years. token amount wont be big.
for car transfer u wil have to go to lhr. and its better if u transfer the post office to rwp/isb
