too long lines at post office, 1 guy holding 6 to 12 reg books electric going, ppl sweating , no value of time,, standing in lines for hours sticking with others, then they say give photocopy so they can get noc from city of last reg token. lol

i will go after few days, dont matter if there is fine, at least it wont be crowded,

Its more than 25% increase in rates than last year and i am shocked to see why 1300cc= 4820rs and 1301cc to 1500cc= 5900 rs?
Why they have put 1301 onward catagory on the 5900 rs slab?
And this way they have almost doubled the tax of 1301cc onward than 1298 cc which is 3570 and why only 1300cc's rate is different than all the schedule.

Last year i paid the tax on 4th september,no fine was charged.

because ministers want to keep their tax tokens updated without paying heafty amounts. The tax rate till 1500cc cars is Rs. 348 per year for ISB regd cars.

for those people who do not have any income like retired people or students,,, and the car is registered on their name , is their any way to exempt the income tax that is paid in the token fee ???

Total Token Tax for the year 2011-2012 as per the web site of MTMIS in Punjab.

upto 1000 cc = 1490
upto 1300 cc = 3570
upto 1500 cc = 5900
upto 1600 cc = 7250
upto 1800 cc = 8250

^^ i just paid 1098 for cultus, 07 isb registered, why there is a difference ?

I also paid 3350 for my swift which comes under 1500cc category

4) Year Registered : 2003

Previous year it was 5200 this year its 7200 as per the tickets stamped on reg book. Wasnt there a rule of depreciation applicable on cars that after 5 years depreciation was done in token?

yes same token tex this year. if you didn,t have ntn then also pay incomtex.

Salash brother has a corolla 1.6 which is 1599cc 2011 model , and he paid 7250 Rs , i have a 2003 model 1.6 and i pay the same , so does that mean if i have a 1988 car i would have to pay 7250 if its 1599cc ???? kinda idiotic isnt it that a brand new car and old car has ame token and no depreciation is done over the years?

Dear all,

Please guide me where would my car token be paid. I bought my honda city (1.3 Idsi) from Faisalabad last year, car registration is with Lahore and I live in Islamabad. All the previous tokens are paid in Faislabad GPO. I have transferred the car in my name.

Can i pay token tax in Islamabad. some one told me that car belongs to Punjab and tax should also be paid in Punjab as well. If i pay it in Islamabad that goes to capital's revenue and will not be considered paid at the time of sale of car and be payable again.

Please guide me where can i deposit it and what would be the consequences, if i couldnt pay until 31 July.
