In Islamabad the tax for cars upto 1299 cc is just 384 rs per year, but I pay 2098/- for my Xli and the remaining amount is advance income tax or withholding tax and can be adjusted in annual IT returns. For cars older than 10 years only rs 384 are collected, no W.H.T.

I^^ if u take out the advance tax part then is already below 1k around the country but Izloo has the lowest 349 only.

Goto any National Bank Branch for payment of road tax.
It is a car tax not Arms licence which require area police station registration & area post office for renewal.

officially Islamabad is capital & only Govt employees in Govt allocated housing & transport live there :). all taxes paid to govt are adjustable under annual tax return so do not worry

Any NBP branch or the designated post office. I used to submit at post mall in F7 Markaz they give a computerized thermal print as receipt which I get photo copied for long term archiving.

^^ the thermal copy or the ones you get on cash and carry stores fades out really bad
its a good thing u get them copied.originals one provided by that post offices fade out completely with time

I have been submitting the tokens from last 3/4 years for my previous cars in the Post Mall F7, the only thing i was wondering was because this is a newly registered and it's first token has yet to be paid.

The fadding thing happened to me and created a lot of problems for me, as the return file of my previous car was lost and i had to get a new one, they said there's nothing written on the receipt... :S
I had to go to PostMall again and asked them for duplicate receipt, which they said we don't have any system of duplicated receipt, though they stamped that old receipt and entered the amount on it manually.

The point is... I went to Lahore ETO office and from there the receipt was rejected and I have to come back to Post Mall F7 to get it stamped again.. I was in Hurry of selling my car and that was not possible w/o the return file...

as per my knowledge you can submit ur tax in rwp post offices but that too after transferring it to rwp post office
