Car vibrating when stationary in D but not when moving

Best thing to do is to first check the error codes by plugging in an OBD-I or OBD-II scanner. Those error codes can tell you a lot of stuff that is wrong or working okay without having to tear apart the vehicle. Check which codes appear and note them down. Then do some Google searches on what they mean. Sometimes the issues are purely electronic and software related.

If that leads nowhere then you may tear apart the vehicle.

this problem has started after i had cleaned the MAF sensor before that there wasnt any issue
moreover the transmission fluid is full i didnt know when it was changed last time since i have purchased the car about 6 months back.

Although transmission fluid is not the cause of your problem you should still inspect your transmission fluid level and quality. Always put genuine fluid in your car.......import in advance if need be.

get your mechanic to see the MAF values and the fuel trims to see any anomaly - there is far more information in an ECU than just error codes.

I have also experiencing same vibration issue on D or R in my Vitz. but when i scan the ecu i found my RPM drop down below 700. previously RPM don't drop down below 700 due to which that cause vibration on D. Is factory resting ECU revert back my previous setting?

You should get the Idle Air Control Valve or IACV checked. Your throttle body is closed and does not allow air through when you are idling. The IACV is a small motor that senses the load on your car and open a small opening to let air pass through the throttle body so the car can idle smoothly without rpm drops on any load.

If the IACV starts failing you will start noticing the rpm dropping to around 400 for a few seconds and then returning to normal. In worst case scenario your IACV is completely busted and your car will shudder and turn off because the IACV is unable to keep an openin for air to pass through.

Local mechanics call it "idle valve". Do not go for kabli. Always go for genuine parts. They'll be more expensive but will last you a long time and not make your car a continuous nuisance.

I think there is no IACV in Vitz because Vitz has electric throttle. Last week my mechanic service throttle body so throttle body is clean. I think there some other issue but thanks for reply.

when you clean out the MAF of a 1KR engine, you need to inspect the fuel trims and see the anomaly there, Also please verify the G sensor is calibrated to zero point. If that is messed up - your car will not idle or run properly.

Usually this occurs if the mechanic being ill-informed disconnects the battery to reset.

Do you mean MAP of a 1KR engine... right? and how i verify the G sensor is calibrated to zero point by mechanics? As per mechanic they did zero point calibration and then CVT oil pressure calibration. They also said Vibration comes from engine...
