Ok this is to update on the performance after the carb repair job from abdul rehman. The impressive fuel economy was shortlived and only lasted for a week. After a week, the fuel consumption of my margalla deteriorated to 8 kmpl. I would want to narrate the entire repair job. Back in November 2019, the labour of abdul rehman dismantled my carburetor and asked me "garri bechnay ki hai ya rakhne ki? Agar bechnay ki hai toh jugarr se kaam karlete hain air butterfly repair kardete hain (rs. 2000) warna agar rakhne ki hai toh butterfly replace kardete hain (rs. 4500)"
I asked him the difference in both the jobs and what performance updates would i see if i were to spend 4500. To which he replied "19/20 ka rpm pe farq aega" and then convinced me to go for the repair as the difference in charges would not justify the performance differences. I warned him that i was willing to pay 4500 even as long as the results are flawless to which he assured me that 2000 wala kaam bhi acha hoga.
2 months has passed and i was able to spare some time to pay them a visit again. This time mr. Abdul Rehman was also at the shop and he tried identifying the cause of the deteriorating fuel economy and blamed the butterfly "iss ki butterfly change karni hogi (4000 kharcha hoga)" i told him that his labour insisted on going for the repair and it was their fault. I tried reasoning with him that i will only pay the difference amount i.e. 2000 and he refused. He bluntly asked for rs. 4000 in full and did not claim responsibility of the bang up job he did earlier.
The dicussion ended with a disagreement
