Carburetor Screw jam GD110S

In my Suzuki GD110S. the carburetor mixture adjustment screw has completely jammed in its place. I have no way to adjust. I need to adjust because my spark plug is usually black soot and every now and then I have to clean it otherwise bike stops at idle frequently. improper mixture and mileage is also not good.

please recommend some way to loosen/replace this screw and also tell how to adjust it to proper setting.

You have to take the carburetor off first. Then use wd40 to loose it.

Of course carburator would need to be removed. But I don't think WD-40 would be enough. I have tried several lubriacants, drop of kerosene oil, WD-40, many thing to wet the outer threads of cavity inside which adj screw is tightened. But no avail.

I have saw some tips of such jammed screw on internet. recommended is after dismantling everything do a small drill in the middle of screw head. then forcefully penetrate a small flat screw driver or hex key such that it inserts into the drill hole very tight then try to twist it in both directions. This requires lot of precise work and definitely the adj screw would be dumped. would need another adj screw.

any other easy way out?

Get a screw extractor drill bit. Run the drill in anti clockwise direction.

Hi, Haven't yet fixed carb mixture screw. I have bought new screw from Suzuki parts dealer but it is Crown Liffan made. Not original suzuki. He says it is same screw with washer and spring for my model. He also suggested get screw removed by machine shops. If carb screw threads accidentally damaged than whole carb would need replacement costing approx. 15,000 PKR. Why spares are so expensive for these models?

anyways I will post again after experimenting carb. At the moment my bike has lot of vibration and tire change so I will do that first,
