Hello guys,

This may seem to be an inconceivable scenario for most people but I am thinking of registering my brand new corolla altis 1.6 on careem just for one ride per day that I will probably get while commuting from work to back home.

I don't mind picking up a ride while going back home and earn some cash. It won't be much but I think I'll make enough for the fuel that I will definitely use while commuting from home to work and back. Which amounts to around 45km round trip

What do you guys think? Is it possible? Or am I missing something here?

Will be grateful of your opinions.

How are you so sure that you’ll get the ride of an area nearby your destination. What if u get the ride of a totally different area or what if you don’t get ride as soon as you end your job/work? Will you keep waiting lets say for about even 1 hour for a single ride and what do you think will you be able to make fuel charges with one ride? I highly doubt it.

I have heard that the careem captain can have his last ride near his home. So as soon as I am done with my job I can choose the last ride option and pick up a ride that is has a destination near my home.

I know I am not going to get a ride everyday. Probably 1 or 2 rides every 5 working days.

Since my office is in a highly commercial zone. There is high probability of getting a ride.

And about fuel charges. I don't expect to make cash more than the fuel cost of not more. Atleast I can get something.

My point of registering myself in careem/uber is generally to atleast minimise the affect of fuel cost on my pocket.

The whole point of this idea is to minimise the fuel cost, not to get profit.

I know I can't make any profit with a couple of rides per week

Just go for it after finishing ur work go online on careem and set destination u will get a ride on your way may be its 5 km far from destifation but you can save your fuel cost and you can set destination twice a day

You can always give it a try no harm in this but I don’t think so this will be feasible for you.
