Car's "Biscuit" Missing

A guy is selling is a Civic 95, but it's missing it's "Biscuit", what is a Biscuit? He has all the necessary document besides the actual biscuit on the car, is it legal?

Vin number plate is called as biscuit.
I mean if it's not tempered then yes, but price of such cars are always low.

How can we tell whether it's been tampered with or not? And can we replace it officially via the excise department?

id plate is normally silver color soft metal punched over firewall section in engine bay. In Honda it is a blue color aluminum plate vehicle data is punched (engraved) over it. something like attached picture

if the punched data is scrapped un readable that is sign of tampering.

only manufacturer can provide you that duplicate plate excise has no such facility for VIN plates.

Can anyone explain or do any body know about process to get duplicate VIN/ Biscuit form manufacturer.

I saw 1 car Fx old model, although it has genuine VIN but all engraved data and written one(seems printed ink from Suzuki) over it as well as chassis number at body are almost vanished due to aging factor, engine heat and rust, it was/is hard to recognize/read data there.

In front of me,1 person brought crayons and rub over plate on engraved data as well as on body to read Chassis number. Due to rubbing colored crayons, engine number as well as Chassis numbers etc. and other details emerged out otherwise it was not readable.

So i saw, it was correct as per documents but i am becoming double minded, is there procedure to contact Pak Suzuki to take this Vin plate back and re-issue new duplicate one in replacement? At least that will give better look.

I don't think manufacturer gives such support.
But you can make a new vin plate similar to Oem.

How and from where? What about factory default one?
Pak Suzuki Vin plates quality was too bad otherwise you can see older cars of Charade and Toyota with better Vin plates, they are still readable
