i had been looking for any good solution about headlight for a long time didn't wanted to use HIDs and local white led lights look ugly and also dangerous because it makes comming traffic blind so finally today i bought 2 fog lamps DLAA 12v/55w and installed them on my ravi piaggio results was awesome , very bright light and not irritating for coming traffic from opposite direction . after riding the bike approximately 1hour i came to know that they have drained the battery fully.lol. i had 10amp battery installed in my bike but 2 55w lights were too much for it. i want to know how much power does ravi piaggio generator produces so that i can give them a direct connection from generator instead of battery. can anybody help @vickytulla @asjdsm ??
Not sure about how much power does Ravi generator produces but it would be better to use single 55 watt light instead.
Some people have much better results with genuine Xanadu 55w light.
you can also use h4 55W lamp or Xanadu CB250 Night Hawl Lamp its bolt on fit and gives a neat well lit vision of qaurter a kilometer ahead...
if a 55 watts H4 or 9006 tube can provide adequate visibility in car, then same can also be achieved on bike. i believe the difference is of the reflector used in headlight, get hold of a reflector which can be fitted into bikes headlight housing.
the ones i installed are H3 DLAA 1026 . I have cut the connection of one of the two light today as it was draining the battery to much 55w+55w=110w and even a singe one is much better for vision. will check the battery status after 1,2 days if it didn't worked normal i will switch to xanadu .
