At what mileage and under what circumstances should we consider to go for catalytic converter cleaning?

No car ever requires it. Its a self cleaning thermal reactor.

Yes, that right. And cleaning it at a workshop actually mean removing precious metals from the Cat when the owner is not watching, and sell it for a few bucks just bcz we are religious.

Its never fuel quality, as it can even burn oil in it.

Its more a blind repair obsession assuming that cleaning stuff fixes it. It doesnt.

A poisoned or damaged converter can only be replaced, if you “suspect” due to some oddball dream or “butt dyno” that your cars “pick” isnt there then do a few high loaded redline rpm pulls to “clean” it out.

It will serve you the same result as wasting money on “cleaning the converted billi”

Now the real result of a dead and literally blocked converter is seen with an exhaust pressure gauge in place of the primary oxygen sensor. Which no shop in Pakistan uses including whatever cat cleaning washing machine business that is famous in Pakistan.

They know their con will be exposed with this test.
