Catalytic Convertor Vitz 2006 can be repaired?

I bought vitz 2006 few weeks ago And now I am facing issue of very bad fuel average and jerks while driving, I visited mechanic and he told me the issue is with catalytic convertor and he told me it will cost 40k around. I just want to know is there any way to fix the old one? I am from Islamabad, thanks

u can buy a kabli onnne oor go to silencer walj in g8 he will fix dholki whicxh will reduce ur noise will cost around 3k

btw how he conculluded that old onne is demaged?

He pullout the oxygen sensor and looked into the convertor with torch and then put some screw driver in it and told me its empty inside, there is no honeycomb nor the other filters, Also I scanned the computer and got the error code referring to catalytic converter is not working properly

get a kabli cat if u really want to install it otherwise dholki will also work fine

and for fuel average and jerks there are many other things like chocked fuel filter plugs dirty map sensor
