Catalytic Was Broken Error code P0420

My car model is 12-15 and it giving only average of 14, suddenly its engine light in dashboad started to glow so i take it to mechanic and its showing erorr P0420 and mechanic show Ctalytic eroror and he want me to buy new one,

he just reset the code and light went off , and say some body broken the catalytic and he cannot clean it so it must need to be replaced

Just want to know what if i still run my car will it be safe? or should i had to change it immediatly, mechanic just told me it can cost any thing between 20-45 K which infact a lots for me so what you suggest, any way to fix it in low budget

One way is to by-pass the cat and totally remove it. But its not recommended. Better to buy a kabuli one.

Also i forget eco idle stop working so its due to catalytic?

OK, Thanks for your reply, what will happen if i wont replace it? I mean any thing bad happen to engine? or fule average goes up?

Can i still run my car for small trips for atleast few days more? so i can buy new one

How to fix p0420 code in professional way

I went to two mechanics and both say there is no sand, no Jali in my cataylic converter and some mechanic just take thing out of it and show me two options

1- Install and add Jali only 500-6000 Rs and that make my sound of car bid good and average

2- Buy a kabli conerter and it can cost 40000

I didnot think just installing Jali will be OK, but installing kabli one is too much costly for me at the momennt, so as per mechaninc i can keep running the car as I am runnign the same for aroudn a year without even knowing that it was stolen

So what you people advice, gather the money and buy new one? that what i can think only option i have
