CB125F Hard Start

Aoa.

I have a 2022 Honda cb125f. Purchased about 8 months ago. The bike gets driven VERY little. Only in our colony as of now. Mileage is at 1100kms. I do take it on the occasional run, get it up to 80-90 just to let it stretch it's legs.

Has had its 500 and about 3 MTHS ago, it's 1000 Kms service. Has also been in many times between these services for suspension and brake noise issues.

My issue I am noticing is a hard start problem when warm. Say, after you have just gone for a ride, you stop the bike. After 30s or a minute you need to restart, it doesn't want to start or it cranks very long. Before it would start on half crank.

Any ideas? I also THINK I hear a slight ticking noise on idle. Is it possible the valve clearance is out of spec? I need to take it in at 2000k next, but I think the warranty card is going to expire before I get there lol.

And also, any suggestions for a good, trustworthy service center around here? I bought the bike from Waleed palace thokr in Lahore. Very bad service from there. They ruined my brother's pridor by wrongly adjusting the valves and we had to have the entire head rebuilt at 6000kms.

Also wrongly assembled suspension bushes on my 125. Complained to atlas Honda and they said go to ucp view Honda instead. They seem...ok...but not much better imo.

Any good service centers located near Valencia/wapda town or raiwind rd area?

After taking it to Honda service center, they found that the spark plug had some carbon buildup and that one side tappet was out of adjustment.

The ticking I heard seems to have quieted down now. The hard start when hot problem still seems to exist. Bike is now out of warranty with 1235 Kms.

Any ideas? May decide to just replace the plug. Any ideas why carbon built up so fast? Maybe bad petrol?

Usually its the tappet adjustments, if plug is still black, then they either not properly adjusted, or some thing wrong with air fuel mix.
Also, check for any electrical equipment heating up, like CDI etc.

I drained all the gasoline out of it and put fresh gas from a better pump. It seems to be a bit better. Not cranking forever anymore, but it's only been one day so I will keep testing. However, I do believe that the fuel air mixture may not be adjusted properly. I'm going to run this tank through and then recheck the spark plug and to from there

Update:.

Went back to the Honda service center. They replaced the spark plug. It started on half self.

Also adjusted mixture setting. I assume to factory settings.

Seems to be starting ok now. Time will tell
