What im not sure about are the rubber boots you installed on the front forks....... I know they are original but dont you think it would look nicer without those boots....just a suggestion
If you look at the image below you will notice the rims are black..... they give the illusion of high profile tyres which really look neat on these bikes. You get yours powder coated..... paint wont be robust....werna aap tow ustaad painter hogaye hoo ab
the front mudguard is origonal and stock i really loved its classic looks so i made no changes except color scheme.
the rubber boots are pathetically low quality i bought from local market for 80 rupees they are cracked now in just standing position. need to go shoba to get some old quality boots. the origonal cb350 has glass setup like 125 and if you remove the glass things the insde oil seal doesnt look good and its flat so i had to install the boots. if it had oil seal like gto125 than i must kept it bootless.
the below image is brat styled bike has modified mudguard and black rims. my stock rear tire is 3.50 trail type almost equal to 90 90 18. what i am thinking is just 100 90 18 or 110 80 18. the main reason behind this is not to lose its power due to heavy tire installation and it may seriously losen the grip in cuting shutting
turns. if i chose more than said profile tire the rim should be 4 inches wide. but the concept behind the cafe racer is light weight for drag racing . so the less weight you gain more.
now about painting rims. well seriously i used quality stuff to get quality result it took 1 week to paint.there were many failure involve after success completion . and i still need to learn alot in paint field. for strong color i need oven backed paint and this facility would cost me alone 5k for renting paint both
but the next build would be more full of fun. the powder coating painting also requires temperature to be strong and rims are daily in dangerous hands ( panchari wala :P) you know very well how they pull out the tube from tire
