the cam lube he is talking about is engine assembly lube - Honda sell it as Honda Moly70 - it comes in a cardboard type tube, it would be a bit pricey.

red moly engine assembly lube was available in Karachi at Plaza market and marriot road market for about Rs 1000/- for a smallish bottle. just slather it on the cam and leave it be. Ask around where heavy generator mechanics/workshops buy their stuff

ok i have got all things back from machinist. and he works very well . gasket made locally chacha has done superb job and saved bucks for me posting his pic too . bought o ring seals and plus this curil compound sealer i need comment on this sealer which seller told me its very good product . uploading pics . i have to washout engine parts tonight or maybe after eid

I would not recommend Curil. I have had bad experience with any type of sealing compound that hardens after setting. My experience has been good with soft setting sealing compounds. As an example, even Rolls Royce recommends soft setting sealing compounds such as Hylomar: Non-Setting Gaskets and Jointing Compounds and Hylomar Universal Blue Sealant - PL32

Jaguar also uses Hylosil made by Hylomar: Hylosil Instant Gasket and so does Range Rover.

Anyway the point I am making is that you should stay away from hard setting compounds such as Curil or Indian Head etc. I may also add that these hard setting compounds are not compatible with aluminium. I have seen Indian Head actually cause pitting in the aluminium jointing faces.

BTW, gaskets look outstanding. Very fine job indeed. He has used the graphited (hi temp) for the head. Looks like he knows his job. Have you had him make the entire set required for the engine/gearbox?

Well, Zulfiqar Sb. who is immensely gifted and experienced may not agree with what I have to say but the thing is that we do not have access to the best sealing compounds in the "under developed" markets of Pindi and Peshawar.

What I use is the following material for all my sealing needs. For now it has not failed me. Of course you have to make sure that the two sealing faces are straight and true. Even the best sealing compound will be useless if the mating surfaces are warped and not true.

These two I bought in Saudi when I was working there, The one on the top (blue) is pretty good stuff. The one on the bottom (white) has excellent adhesive properties

This is the one I recommend. I bought this in Pindi. It is freely available and good for upto 625F temperature.

This one is very bad. Stay away from it.

Of course you will not have to use any sealant on the head gasket so that is one head ache out of the way.

Eid mubarak to everyone specially suleman sab and xulfiqar. ok here is Small update i bought this silicone with dealer guarantee it will work and has never ever received any complaint. also highlighting chacha work going to clean these parts today inshallah will update more

Sealing compound is good. If you want to be 100% sure about this compound you can use it and do a temporary assembly of one component such as maybe the crankcase without the crank shaft, fill it with a bit of oil in it and leave it for a few days and see if it leaks. Anyway I am pretty sure that it will be just fine. I intend to do this activity when I attend the leaking gearbox of my project.

I think Chacha is the real hero of this resto story:)

By the way, were you able to solve the broken kick start return spring issue?

the gaskets should be just slightly oiled with singer machine oil and then tightened, Best is to use them dry. For sealing the crankcases only use proper petrol/oil resistant sealants like the ones I mentioned.

These are the guys I used to visit - they used to have a Hylomar, threebond, loctite etc - ask for them to courier some to your address in pindi - and ask them how will they want to recieve their payment. I think they bank with Al Habib so if you pay them they can see the credit in their account in the next hour.

im not gifted - just a rambler

anyway the last tube is good for bathrooms, useless for engines, the upper most is good for sealing oil sumps and valve covers on ancient engines. As I said you can go to a toyota dealership and ask for toyota FIPG. they have it in Pakistan, I have bought it in Karachi multiple times.

gasket should be slightly oiled this is wat gasket maker told me and the mentioned adb compound sealent is final becuz i tested it and its just awsome .smell wasnt like typical sillicone smell . i went honda as well toyota main workshop hondas using this sillicone compound which i mentioned:P

am going to use carb cleaner on crankcase surface and will sand it 400 grits sandpaper .ll make 2mm layer and after 10 mintues ll joind it inshallah this will work for sure

This my camshaft with side holder cover inside u can see it's completely worn out and am going to add Bush or bearing modification.

Pls suggest the modified holder covers 160$ they are designed for racing purpose pls take a look
