CBR1000 RR HRC - import Help?

I'm new here, hello to everyone.

I have Honda CBR1000rr HRC 2009 model here in the UK, if i bring to Pakistan (Islamabad) how much duty should i expect to pay ?

wow ! That's a stupendous amount of money, considering I bought the bike for £10k.

Ok, so how much would this bike cost to buy in Pakistan?

I lived in Pakistan for a year 07-08 and had a cbr600rr2005 which I bought for 750k and then sold it just under what I paid for it.

Depending on the price, is it better to buy in Pakistan?

mashallah .. i have to say what a beautiful bike you got there .. im a bike nut my self and im loving your bike .. inshallah hope to own a machine like this my self one day .. what part of UK are you from Khan saab ? ..

personally i would buy a bike from pakistan rather than import it from here .. dont think it would be worth the hassle.. when you can pick up nice r6 cbr etc from pak ...

I have been checking other sources online regarding import procedures and duty rates etc, I think your right it is a lot of hassle, I just will be very sad to sell it, we bought a prado 2005 model in Pakistan couple of years ago, which had just been imported from japan, we then got it registered etc, no hassle at all, same goes for the cbr600rr I bought was easy, no problems.
I don't have loads of cash, at the same time I can't justify paying the ridiculous amount of duty they want, I don't understand it, no wonder the country is in a mess, in fact I do know why but I'd rathernot say here.

@cbrKhan .. w/salaam .. if i write how i feel about the government and the rules here ill probably get banned lol ... yeh we imported a mercedes about 5 years back thats why i was saying its not worth it .. too much hassle .. you can get a car/bike from there registered and then you got no worries ...

yes man thats i called a bike i am big fan of honda cbr series MASHALLAH what a bike man i kno that if we import the new cbr600rr then it will cost around in Pakistan about 1.6 million with bike price and custom duety

Duty is not as much as spangle is saying....
2nd u got the machine that is hell cuz it is HONDA Racing tuned one, and will the first CBR HRC Tuned ever in Pakistan, though 2nd of 09 CBR's(One has been imported by one friend very few days back), and i m saying u to call bcuz i ll guide u through whole of the setup regarding duties and document that are must if u import sum bike to Pakistan

you can import motorcycles on 'Transfer of residence' but theres no specific duty rates regarding motorcycles, so i have emailed them, awaiting response..........

will post back when/if i get a reply. lol

I got reply from FBR, they sent me the same link as I posted above, according to that they have 2 regimes,
1 Special Regime
2 Normal regime
it does say you can import motorcycles through 'transfer of residence'
under the normal regime duty is going to be very high.
Under the 'special Regime' it's a fixed duty rate depending on cc,
for 801cc-1000cc the duty is all inclusive at $5000.
if bike is 12 months old you qualify for 24% discount (2%per month) that equates to $3800 which is rs 322,657.99 (1usd=84.91)

that's without agents commision etc.
I have emailed FBR to confirm this calculation.

spangle, please ask your custom guy if this is correct, that motorcycles are based on the 'special regime' ?
