I got reply from FBR, they sent me the same link as I posted above, according to that they have 2 regimes,
1 Special Regime
2 Normal regime
it does say you can import motorcycles through 'transfer of residence'
under the normal regime duty is going to be very high.
Under the 'special Regime' it's a fixed duty rate depending on cc,
for 801cc-1000cc the duty is all inclusive at $5000.
if bike is 12 months old you qualify for 24% discount (2%per month) that equates to $3800 which is rs 322,657.99 (1usd=84.91)

that's without agents commision etc.
I have emailed FBR to confirm this calculation.

spangle, please ask your custom guy if this is correct, that motorcycles are based on the 'special regime' ?

New rate of depreciation is 1% / month, instead of 2%

By the way what i have heard about bike duties is that they are charged at per cc, not sure what the current structure is, that other guy in this thread may have helped many others by providing some info here in the open but i guess for his help you need to spend some $

Sending a 1000cc bike to Pakistan is not a good idea in my opinion, the duties are so high that people just leave their bikes at the port and afterwards when they get old, govt auctions them better sell your bike for 10k, bring that money here and buy yourself a 5k worth 600cc of 2005 model.

Even if it is now only 1% depreciation per month, that will be 12% discount,(12 mnths old by the time I import it)
$5000 less 12% = $4400
that's Rs 375k

that's close to what spangle said earlier (400k)

Nice machine bro .. duty idea is 5 $ to 7 $ per cc ... u need transfer of residence certificate for importing used bike... & u can get depreciation on ur bike from date of registration of your bike ...
