dear it all boils down to a single figure ,, thats called final reduction,, or final gears ratio,, with default 14/41 the ratio is calculated as 41 divide by 14 or 41/14=2.928,,, what this figure means is that for a single rotation of rear wheel u need to rotate the front sprocket 2.928 times,,
now this figure gives u an indication on how far u need to go and on which side to go,,with 15-41 the ratio is 2.733 but at this ratio when i go to placres that are steep,, then its hard to mantain the rpm,, well what i mean to say is that even in first gear on steep surface it seems that if i m riding it in third gear and at speed of 10 km/hr,,, ,,
so this ratio of 15-41 is good for steep rides such as mountains,, today i went with double sawari to damanekoh,, it went pretty smooth and i think i can go down 3 teeth on rear,, so 15-38 wuld be something i will be looking for,,
now i need to know ka is there any branded set of sprockets or chain with 15/38 ?
i m lookin to achieve the ratio of 2.53,,
