check if 0.05 is the setting for cold engine or hot engine.
I think engine was not properly cold at time of adjustment and also not on tdc

congratulations. Also make sure that engine is on tdc when you adjust it, meaning, check that the tdc mark on engine magnet is aligned with the mark on engine casing.
dont just eye ball the tdc position
