CD/AUX in Civic Indash

Whats the story with CD/AUX on Civic indash? How can I install auxiliary input port etc?

buy a MP3 or IPOD
and plug and play from ipod and listn from the car audio setup

do you have 2007-2008 VTi model 1.8?
if you have the 2009 onwards model then the head unit has aux as well as usb jack on the front
; if you have the 2007 model then there is a place right beside the lighter, its a small size plastic cover which you have to remove, with the help of a screw driver or a key(make sure you dont put scratches on that cover) after removing the cover you would have to search for wires with aux head wrapped in yellow foam..remove the foam and use the aux head to plug and play

I think this isn't correct. There's no usb or aux port available in new Civic. But yes, to confuse the driver, they have mentioned 'Aux' with CD button on the panel!!!
If you want to get a usb connection or an aux port, you'll have to do some 'jugaar', which I wont recommend. It is better to get the entire panel replaced with an aftermarket product that will accommodate all options that you want, including DVD, USB and Ipod.

I think you should change the Head unit with panel for a high quality player with USB/Bluetooth/AUX.

Another reason why I do not like new generation cars.

thanks guys.... I guess I will have to use the CDs .... .... coz I have absolutely no plans to have the dashboard touched...
