Before Lumia 535 I used Ufone Smart 5 which is also Android. Despite crazy touch issues on the 6000 rupee Smart 5 it was miles better than the 535 in every aspect.
People think they'll get through without apps but it is impossible. Even basic apps like Twitter and Facebook where a pain to use. On top of that 8.1 had a mind of its own. Sometimes in messages you could write a persons name to text them sometimes you had to go into contacts and then text them. Under one contact you did not have the option to message call and email. All of these had to be done by going into their respective apps.
It. Was. A. Nightmare.

Microsoft have been too lazy with Windows 10 mobile release, which is far more better than 8.1.

You haven't tried Windows 10 beta i think, they have made Windows 10 a lot better than 8.1.

Microsoft should shut down windows mobile. No matter how hard they try they have and will fail miserably. It's impossible to get a break through in the presence of IOS and android. Why would one shift to windows? It has nothing groundbreaking. Let alone the lackluster app eco system.

Since when you are using it? I am comfortable with 6" phone.

You can use AcDisplay or ZUI locker with smart lock for double tapping. But it will only sleep the phone.

Awaking the phone requires modifications in kernel. Though you can use home button to awake the phone or some sensors apps or feature like pocket mode to awake it. I think there is awake feature built-in touch wiz check gestures option in settings.

I use AcDisplay to sleep and awake my phone without any changes in kernel.

Guys how do you buy apps on playstore other then credit card?

I tried standard chartered visa debit card but it didn't worked. To some extent it worked but Google declined it and refund the money.

So any easy solution to buy apps?

For waking up on Edge devices, best way is to use home button. But if still not satisfied, there is usually "air wake up" setting somewhere in "Accessibility" settings. Enable that.

It will use your proximity sensor to wake the device when you hover your hand over proximity sensor.

Double tap is a complex thing, so don't look into that if it has not been provided by the manufacturer.

Now I've enabled hand gesture " swiping hand over screen unlocks " it works good

Whoever is selling it, shops and online retailers are ripping people off. There is no where you can get a Nexus 6P cheaper than 75k.
And, for a Huwaei, 75k is not justified.
Either get a friend/relative to buy it from abroad or look for another device.

Nexus devices itself are a rip off, for most people[emoji1].

Paying 50+ thousand and you get the same software features as Infinix Hot2, though hardware is awesome, but still not worth it.

I had Nexus 6 for sale a week or two back, there is no demand for Nexus devices here. So if you buy it, its not very easy to sell.

People here want features, nexus phones are too simple and do not offer software features that people want here.

In the same price, S6, Note 5 and others offer a ton of useful features, so that's actually a better value for money for most people, especially seeing from resale point of view.

Get Infinix Hot2 or any other entry level stock android phone first, if you like that simplicity, then jump to Nexus. Nexus is too boring phone, yet perfect for rooting and customising.

That's great.

There are lots of apps there for phone awake too, like gravity screen, DTSO, proximity sensor related apps. But your phone has this function built in, so no use of these apps.

There is settings > motion and gestures > smart alert and also settings > edge screen. Configuring those settings to match your needs will be even more helpful.

I can confirm that its performance is better than S4. Galaxy Alpha has almost similar performance as S5.

Galaxy Alpha has just 1860 mah battery btw, so its been made a little less responsive to save power consumption.

Now 2016 version of Galaxy A3, A5 and even A7 are releasing in January 2016. They have design similar to S6 and Note 5. You can also have a look at them.

Double Tap! This is what i really missed when I moved from LG to Samsung (btw worst decision ever, will buy v10 or g5)
To get around, I have installed "Screen Lock" from Play Store. I have also installed "Nova Launcher Prime" which have gesture feature. IN Nova>Gestures>Double Tap>Apps>Screen Lock. By this way I can lock the device by Double Tap. For waking up, I use home button.
