I also had note 4 which had 3200 mah battery but had poor battery life due to awful touchwiz software and inefficient processor.

Note 5 on the other hand is complete opposite. It has smaller 3000 mah non removable battery and easily lasts whole day with WiFi and LTE. I get 5.5 - 6 hours screen on time on note 5 plus I watch a lot of YouTube videos. Lastly Note 5 has very good standby which will improve further when it gets updated to Marshmallow

1) Trade my iPhone 6s with Galaxy Note 5 or S6 Edge+

2) buy a budget phone Galaxy J5 and keep iPhone too.

Note 5 reviews worth watching. You CANNOT go wrong with Note 5, unless its not comfortable in your hands, or if you are a professional photographer who likes to have expandable storage and removable batteries. It lacks IR blaster though!

You are right. Only design, edge screen and S Pen difference, rest 95% is same.

But Note 5 is way better, has very comfortable to hold design and has S pen (very handy feature) that makes Note series stand out.

S6 Edge+ has way too uncomfortable to hold design. Even protective covers don't help to make it comfortable, so its a major deal breaker. I can assure you that its 50 times more uncomfortable to hold than the reviews suggest. It just tries hard to slip out of hand! Its that awful!

Yes, you are right about S6 Edge+ And there are more chances that its screen will be damage if it fall down.

Btw, S7 is being launched on 21st February

Clearing cache helps.

If your phone runs noticeably faster in safe mode, then it means some user installed app is slowing down your phone. Greenifying them helps to restore performance.

Do you see any apps restarting again and again in Settings > apps > running?

The bigger screen just changes the overall experience. You will love you using the phone more due to it and games and videos are more immersive as well. Moreover, Note 5 battery timings are outstanding, S6 edge barely survives a day with nearly 4 hours standby time while Note 5 lasts a day and can make 2 days with light usage with 6 hours SOT.
The design might be similar but Note 5 due to its bigger foot print looks more dashing and is much easier to grip.
I am in love with the new S Pen, it has more features and is easier to maneuver due to that click mechanism.
Lastly 4 GB ram on note 5 is boss. It makes the experience more fluid and enhances multitasking.

I know s7 is around the corner and like always S series catches up with the former Note series. The S7 now will have 4 GB ram and bigger battery where as note 5 already has this but it can never have a bigger screen and s pen and will be far more expensive.

Samsung is not good in sealed sets like Apple, it has heatup issues, Note 5 may be good, but it has a problem of heating up if you use it too much... I have kept S6, All Note series, Note series is far better than S series due to bigger screen an options,
Just for your info , Note 5 lost its worth in KSA due to these probs. even the note edge is now more expensive there compared to NOTE 5.

One way or the other, its some bloatware or user installed app that causes these issues.

Did you try step 2 & 3? What were the results of step 3? Did the wakelock disappear? Did the phone get more faster in safe mode?

Do you see any apps frequently restarting again and again in settings > apps > running where it shows free RAM available?

Uninstall any apps on phone that claim to free RAM, increase performance or increase battery timings.

Nopes. I have fully loaded my phone and play games on it. It never ever overheats. Even reviewers have never ever stated this problem in reviews.

Performance and camera matters most in this price. Other factors are not too big deal.

Did you try Honor 4C live demo?. Clean its camera lens and then try its cameras with beauty mode off and then zoom photos to see how great it is. It's a great option in a ~17500/-.

It has f/2.0 Sony BSI great camera, very capable even in low lights where others fail miserably, no joke, but stable hands are required for good low light photography. Good battery timings (~4 hours SOT with 12-16 hours easily in normal day to day tasks).

Great battery and great camera together is only in Galaxy J5. Others have great camera with good enough battery timings. You can check other higher priced P8 Lite, J5, Noir Z10, Infinix Zero 2 etc.

Honor 4C and P8 Lite has my vote!.

Moreover, Microsoft Lumia 540, 550, 640 and 640 XL have "pro" camera features, like manual focus adjustments and shutter speed controls (extremely useful), HDR + dynamic flash (awesome feature, available only in 640 and 640XL or maybe 550), bracketing and some very cool camera features etc. Nothing beats a Lumia Camera in still photography, even Lumia 540 beats LG G3 and S5 in various low light conditions due to shutter speed manual controls.

There is overheating protection system, so no worries about overheating. Just keep using the device until it gets so hot that it starts to lag! This is what manufacturers recommend.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Note 5 have CPU in purple region which is close to power button where your hand naturally rests when you hold the phone.

Most other phones have CPU in green region near the camera, so people don't feel the heat, because its away from their hand resting position!

Anyone has idea on Quickcharge 3.0 by Qualcomm, wont it effect the battery life of a battery ?
Since it charges battery 4 times faster then the conventional charge and uses INOV algo
