It might not need it as it has a 1080p display with stock android, it have been fine on 4 GB ram. But manufacturers have to justify the new model.

Guys I'm in love with LG GFlex 2's design and that mouth watering display. Should I get it? I got my hands over it and 810 was snappy n fast. Phone did overheat. Please recommend what should I do?
Also recommend anyother phone in body design of OneplusOne, LG G4, Oppo Find7 which is fast and snappy with amoled type display.

Guys current flagships can be used for 2 years now. Literally innovation is dead. Ub aur kitni ram and cores dalay ge ye loog. Mobile phones have reached maturity.

LG is well known for those blunders, especially in early production cycles. Now the ill-fitting G5 modular design is other one.

Nothing beats official warranty models.

After sometime, LG G4 will break records of LG G2 badnaami (refurbishments) when all 505-509 will be refurbished as 6xx series G4.

I'm personally really inclined towards Gflex 2 due to Oled display which I like (Need Led/Amoled as tired of LCD Display). Also the design is great with curve. Though I love G4's design as well.

Plus 3-4 GB RAM is what's required by most users, as a small fraction of people are actually power users, majority of people do basic day to day tasks and internet surfing in their smartphones.

Latest Android versions are super optimised, like iOS and Windows phones. Now they do not need super power hardware to run smoothly.

Now we need something new, innovative or productive, like modules or add-ons etc.

All my use is to watch a movie at night, Browse Internet, Social media and calling+texts in day time. Not a gamer or very hardcore user like all the time on phone. Even 640xl served me really well

But one can enable to use whole 6 GB of ram by using some build prop tweaks and one plus has also released the source codes of whole soc setup so custom roms will enable it , beside that it's just future proof as mentioned earlier by other member nothing more , even s4 runs aosp rom very very smoothly even when it is under clocked so no point of buying op3 for instant ,

Latest Oled or IPS are pretty equal, slight difference at max. Nothing to worry about displays.

Colors are boosted (saturated) in oled while they are natural (more accurate) in IPS panels.

Contrast ratio difference is almost irrelevant now, because most high quality IPS displays have excellent contrast ratios, and they show "almost" as deep inky blacks as OLED.

In my basic daily usage (basic internet surfing, video streaming, music etc), GF2 got hot but did not overheat (stayed smooth), but it did stutter and hiccups (due to throttling, high temperature) when pushed hard (especially outside in day time). So it was inconsistent performer and gets hot pretty quick. Rest it was good, not bad. It was 100% original (purchased brand new from abroad).

If you got hands on a refurbished, faulty or repaired, then heating could be too much of an issue. That's the problem.

Well, actually they were accidentally ordered. I ordered one and the status wasn't showing anything so I got impatient and ordered 4 more to see if it would work. None of them did. And just now I got a message that 3 of them have shipped. Will try to get them cancelled. One was through easypaisa so it'll get cancelled automatically if I don't pay.

Battery timings were ok, less than G4. 3-4 hours SOT at max. No idea if that will be good or not, because i heard too many complaints of overheating and saw myself too. So i don't know what to say.

In a day or two, i will visit mobile market to get some stuff and will check availability and prices of OPO lcds btw.
